What's the difference between thermoforming and injection molding?
Thermoforming is a process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product. Injection molding uses heated liquid plastic which gets injected into a three dimensional mold to create a desired shape. Also, thermoforming molds are generally a lot lower in cost to produce.
